Project name: Dairy cluster farm and milk collection point
Entity information: APU Dairy LLC was established in 2017 through separation from APU LLC as an independent business entity. The company processes 150 tons of milk and dairy products daily and produces 450 million liters of milk and 54 types of dairy products under Sain, Maamuu, Deej, and Pure Milk brands.
Partner entities: The milk cluster farms with 400 cows, initiated by the Nuudelchin Agro Farm LLC, and the milk collection points are located in the Bayantsogt, Mungun Morit, and Batsumber soums, Tuv province.
Partnership profile: Collaborative solutions for productive partnerships
Project objective: Establish multilateral cooperation of the parties to develop the animal husbandry sector and enable all parties to benefit from their participation in the partnership.
Planned activities: By establishing milk collection points, we will enable herders to supply milk and form dairy cooperation amongst herders, increase the number of highly productive cattle, and create a nucleus flock of dairy cattle. Moreover, the farms will increase income forming a wealthy middle class and creating a sustainable income source.
Proposed solutions: By implementing dairy cluster farms in phases and establishing milk collection points in stages, stabilizing and extending its operations will enable the next level of development such as organizing cooperatives, increasing the number of milk transportation vehicles, resolving issues related to exceeding milk supply, storage, and transportation, and reduce fodder cost fluctuation and price inflation risks by pre-ordering fodder or using the modern hydroponic equipment to prepare the fresh and nourishing feed. Pre-order and prepare coarse fodder for one year.
Beneficiaries: 20 farms of the dairy cluster, 2,000 herder families, veterinarians and veterinary clinic staffs, and the state and state-accredited veterinary laboratories.
