Entity information: The Od Wool Cashmere LLC established a wool and cashmere washing and combing plant in 2016. Since the company has been in business, establishing great experience of raw material preparation and partner base in the rural area. Also, the company collects raw materials through a network of dealers in provinces.
Project objectives: Provide herders with news and information using a mobile application, implement an electronic system in the wool and cashmere sourcing value chain of the Uvs province, and a source tracking system in the animal husbandry sector, and.
Planned activities: Basic and medium level veterinary training for herders, training on haymaking and fodder making amongst the herders, raw material sourcing, ordering, and sales system for herders, and ordering veterinary services and the animal selection and breeding services.
Proposed solutions: Great incentive for the implementation of this project is the full coverage of the 3G mobile network in 53 baghs of 9 soums of Uvs province. Through the use of a mobile application, we will enable opportunities for herders to obtain information and news essential for animal husbandry, obtain services from the breeding service provider’s central database, and order services from professional zoologists and veterinarians for breeding and treatment of livestock.
Beneficiaries: 4,604 herder families of 9 soums of the Uvs province and 21 workers of the factory.
