Entity information: SURAMU LLC provides the following services for public and private sector organizations in the Agriculture sector: Management consulting; economic and marketing research and analysis; legal environment study; trade negotiations; logistics management; project management; industrial turnkey solutions; equipment and machinery trading; and staff training for good hygienic and manufacturing practices as well as digital solutions and services in the livestock sector.

Project objectives: (1) Vision: To create a system of complete trust, transparency, and efficiency that enables harmonization and sustainability across the entire supply chain within international and domestic trade. (2) Mission: 3S – Synergy (Inclusive and comprehensive ecosystem), Successful Implementation (Pilot project and business use case), and Sustainability (Continuation of the pilot on a regular basis in practice and spillover effect into other industries)

Planned activities: 

• Designing a stakeholder cooperation model, organizing and managing internal and external relations
• Develop, discuss and approve the draft executive documents of the stakeholders
• System development plan, document preparation, blockchain software and design
• Animal procurement, slaughtering, meat and meat products production and export
• Logistics planning and equipment preparation for heat processed meat products intended for export to China
• Present and evaluate the final report of the pilot project
• Submit the final report to the LCP.

Proposed solutions:

• Strategy: Ensure the supply of meat and meat products to China is uninterrupted at all times, increase the range of products to be exported by strengthening customer confidence, introduce value-added products to the market, and increase the number of exporters that fully comply with the Chinese food safety requirements
• Methodology: Improve the quality of activities of the competent authorities responsible for ensuring the safety and suitability of meat and meat products exported from Mongolia to China on the basis of transparency, openness and mutual recognition, by transferring to a blockchain based technology that allows information exchange with possibility to make improvements in case of any errors. The above work will be implemented on a pilot basis. Based on the results, it will be implemented throughout the sector. If this technology is expected to be implemented throughout the sector, there should be conditions for it to develop independently on a business principle.
