Entity information: Tumen Shuvuut LLC was established in 2004. The poultry farm has a total of 400,000 laying hens and produces 19 types of products. In order to supply the forage needs of our poultry farms, we established the Agro Feed animal feed factory in 2015, with a production capacity of 100 tons of forage per day. In 2019, we commissioned an organic fertilizer plant with equipment from Japan's Koshing Engineering.
Partner entity: Leader LLC and 150 herders of sheep stock.
Partnership profile: Cultivate fodder plants in Arkhust soum of the Tuv province.
Project objective: Create a high-yielding sheep breeding cluster system and produce and develop value-added “NEW MONGOLIAN SHEEP” brand lamb to supply the foreign and domestic markets.
Planned activities:
Produce value-added meat products and export meat products satisfying the standards and requirements of raw meat of the importing country.
Proposed solutions:
Import and implant Doper breed sheep embryos in Mongolian sheep, to be carried in the wombs of Mongolian sheep, and to create a breed flock adaptive to Mongolian weather
We will be implanting embryos in the local gestating livestock to localize high-yielding breeds by using innovative and proven scientific advances
We intend to supply retail chains, markets, and restaurants with meat and meat products produced at the factory by establishing a lamb farm
Will implement an online tracking system to track products up to end-user consumption
Beneficiaries: Participant herder households will enjoy an increased disposable income. By selling the 1st generation hybrid lamb, at 6-9 months of age, we will speed up the commercialization of sheep flock by 2-2.5 times. The income generated from 1st generation hybrid lambs will be 30-50 thousand MNT higher per head compared to local Mongolian lamb and 4-5 million MNT higher per 100 headcounts of sheep.
Project location: 21st microdistrict, Songinokhairkhan district, Ulaanbaatar, Arkhust soum, Tuv province and Ulaangol soum, Uvs province
