Project name: Forage for a young ruminant flock  

Entity information: The principal shareholder of the Khash Khur LLC Oyuntsetseg Jigjidsuren is the 30 percent shareholder of the Bayalag Feed LLC, thus fully capable of implementing the Innovative solution project.

Partner entity: The project will be implemented in cooperation with Bayalag Feed LLC.  

Project objective: The objective of this project is to develop a ruminant husbandry sector adaptive to climate change, environmental, and pastureland conditions that effectively produces meat, leather, sheepskin, wool, and cashmere products satisfying international standards within 11 months. 

Planned activities: 

• Execute contracts with herder households and farms from the soums 
• Provide training and consultation
• Produce and supply fodder
• Supply livestock that reached slaughter weight within a short time

Proposed solutions:  

• The ruminants dig grassroots in winter and spring. This is one of the primary reasons for pastureland degradation. Since the project would not keep ruminants over the winter, it will have a positive impact on ecology and the environment

Beneficiaries: 

• Herders capable of overcoming risks of natural disaster 
• Positive impact on pastureland consumption and environment 
• Herder households with improved productivity per unit and increased income level.
• The meat, wool, cashmere, and leather processing factories for focused quality improvement.
